Short Term in Vivo Comparison Study:
An independent study on 80 women demonstrated that Alpha-Arbutin & Kojic Acid provided faster and more pronounced results after one month when compared with other commonly used single components at recommended use levels. In Vivo Liver Spots Efficacy Study:
In a three month study on 26 female volunteers, Alpha-Arbutin minimizes the appearance of liver spots more efficiently than Beta-Arbutin. Concentrations of each component was at recommended use levels. The figure to the right shows satisfaction quotients relating to the evaluation of the liver spot appearance reduction.
Puffy Eyes and Dark Circles
Rice Bran Protein, Soybean Protein, Oxido Reductases:
An active ingredient that reduces the appearance of dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. It improves micro-circulation, strengthens native collagen and elastin matrix, and reduces the presence of free radicals to delay the visible signs of premature aging. The ingredient exerts a positive localized effect on the hemodynamic properties of the blood to improve oxygen supply to the tissue. The complex inhibits elastase and collagenases, thereby reducing the effects of chronic UV radiation on the connective tissue, to help the skin retain its natural texture.
Reduction of Dark Circles
The appearance of dark circles around the eye was reduced by 35% after 8 weeks of treatment by Hydrolyzed Rice Bran Protein, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Oxido Reductases.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Ceramide 2, Palmiteyl Oligopeptide:
A new anhydrous ingredient based on peptide technology, utilizes a Matrikine-Ceramide 2 concept to combat the signs of aging and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Pigmented products tend to accentuate the appearance of wrinkles and skin dryness rather than mask them. That’s why we used a foundation to evaluate the anti-wrinkling efficacy of this peptide. After only applying it once a day, for 56 days the results were dramatic:
- Volume of main wrinkle reduced in appearance on average by 13.7% and reached as much as 36%.
- Depth of main wrinkle reduced in appearance on average by 10.1% and as much as 27%.
- Surface occupied by deep wrinkles reduced in appearance on average by 40.3% and as much as 98%.
- Surface occupied by medium wrinkles reduced in appearance on average by 24.5% and as much as 86%.
- 75% of the volunteers stated that the product appeared to smooth the skin
- 52% observed a decrease in the appearance of wrinkles and crows feet.
Ceramide 3 is a human skin identical molecule and is very active even at low levels. The molecule reinforces the natural lipid barrier of the skin, improves long-term moisturization and protects the skin from external influences.
Hydration of the skin
Two Ceramide 3 formulations (0.05% and 0.5%), and a control product were applied on the forearms of volunteers twice/day for 7 consecutive days. During the application week Ceramide 3 resulted in a statistically significant increase in water retention capacity of the skin compared to the Control. A dose-response effect with 0.05% and 0.5% Ceramide3 was seen. After the application was ceased, areas treated with the Control showed a rapid decrease in hydration.
Transepidermal water loss
In a second study, two Ceramide 3 formulations (0.2% and 0.5%), and a control product were applied on the forearms of volunteers twice/day for 7 consecutive days. The graph shows the TEWL (%) compared to pretreatment. After 7 days of application on healthy skin, no disturbance of the normal skin physiology was seen. Application of Ceramide 3 does not occlude the skin. After irritation with SDS, untreated skin and areas treated with the Control showed a lower increase in TEWL after SDS, demonstrating the protective effect of Ceramide3 on the skin.
